"Overall we enjoyed our stay at Banneker! It’s quite walkable to many things in DC and an easy pickup/drop off point for uber. The staff was friendly, accommodating and communicative. I loved being able to text for things we needed (except middle of the night better to call the front desk). Best espresso martini we had while in town at Le Sel. There are some things were nit picky about: room function was ok - not much of a view of anything; only one small nightstand, odd lighting throughout...

"The hotel is hit or miss. Much depends on the room you get. Some are supposedly wonderful and large. Some are in basement (what they call 1st floor) with limited windows. Ours was ok, clearly an office that had been converted, with a bathroom built into the room, which looked odd and created an L shape. Some of the windows were covered by a massive headboard. "I love the hotel but the first time we stayed there was the room was fabulous. This time that we became it was just like a regular hotel. There was nothing special about it. I don’t know whether because I chose the street view, but I think that the room stayed in was the George Washington, which I loved, but the biggest thing about the hotel is that it did not have the restaurant we were looking forward to ordering room service instead we had to go to Pages try to find some food to be delivered...
