This hotel is a good example of how, with the right marketing budget, you can create an image that doesn’t reflect the reality.
Normally, we’re not fans of posting negative reviews, but since we, as a family, stayed for a week in a family room, we would like to share our experiences in the hope that others can benefit from them.
The facilities seemed promising, after all, it was a 4-star rated hotel.
However, nothing could be further from the truth. The focus seemed to be mainly on secondary activities like a gym and a pool that was open to everyone, rather than on the hotel’s primary offerings.
The gym and pool were fine, generally clean apart from some minor maintenance issues.
The hotel room itself was not clean, with common issues like a lot of hair in the shower and bath drains, the room hadn’t been vacuumed, the beds weren’t made, and the number of towels varied daily.
The fact that the heating didn’t work on the first day (hence the extra space heater) and that there was no hot water one afternoon due to a malfunction, we accepted as isolated incidents. However, other reviews suggest that these issues occur regularly.
We really got a motel feeling from this place, definitely not a 4-star experience. At best, it felt like a 3-star hotel, barely.
After sharing this feedback with the staff (who were generally friendly and helpful), the situation regarding housekeeping unfortunately did not improve.
