Das Mobiliar meines Zimmers war zwar nicht das modernste allerdings alles schön sauber und für Geschäftsreisende das wohl wichtigste: Ein sehr bequemes Bett. Sehr liebes und nettes Personal. "Excellent hotel in a great location, easy to access the tram or better to walk along the path by the river into town. We didn't breakfast at the hotel it was a bit busy. But very good little bakery just down the lane in front of the hotel. Just be aware that the booking and assess the your room number and pin code is only available via the web page and then wasn't obvious to find, connection on 3g was very slow. It would be better if this info was in the email. "

"Well…it’s an ok hotel! Location is good! An the tram is just outside! Clean enough, beds are uncomfortable…an there’s no real service to speak of! Reception is wishy washy at best! I love the auto check in…meaning no matter what time, you use a machine to check in out of hours! But make sure you phone hotel to confirm it! "Lovely team that work at the hotel and restaurant. Great location to quickly be in the middle of Würzburg and to walk over the Main River to the other side. I was just a little disappointed with the size of my room this time, especially since I was traveling with my dog. It was a little tough to maneuver in the room with two suitcases and a dog. My room in April 2024 was more comfortable. Nonetheless, we managed and enjoyed our stay."

"I liked the updated rooms. Breakfast was good. It was easy and convenient to take the bus downtown Würzburg. I had to go to the Uniklinik which was a quick walk. The people working were all outstanding and super friendly! Great trip "

The Best Hotel Stay Ever!

"First time in Germany, or Europe ever. Blindly booked this Hotel, and was amazed at the property and all of the staff. Not knowing how to speak German, the staff was eager to take time out for me to help me navigate the city of Schweinfurt. First time in Germany and I was made to feel safe and at home! My daily breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious and unbelievably prepared! Amazing chefs and restaurant staff. Most notably was “Matthew”! Very friendly and informative. Knowing that I was there alone, and unfortunately with Schweinfurt and/or Germany spent every available moment with directions sights to visit. He kept my safety in mind with trains, taxis and whenever I was going on foot. Normally I’m difficult to completely please, but I couldn’t find anything negative to comment. I certainly hope the management there values “Matthew” as much as the guests there do! "

"A tall modern hotel near the train station - it is one stop more or less on a tram from the train station, and close enough to walk unless you have oppressive amounts of baggage. Nice breakfast, but not much in the way of dining around that I saw. There was a Lidl across the street where you can get inexpensive food to eat in your room. Downtown Wuerzburg is a few stops away on the tram to the Juliuspromenade stop. The 4 stop ticket for 1.50 euros will cover that. "

"I stayed at the Barthels for two nights, arriving after a very long drive and immediately being able to relax. It’s clean, modern, and comfortable and in an incredible location right in the heart of the old town of Würzburg - I could see the cathedral dome right outside my window! Despite that, it wasn’t noisy and I wasn’t ever woken up to the sound of church bells chiming or street noise. There’s no parking at the hotel but there are so many car parks nearby it wasn’t a problem, and I enjoyed the walk across the Old Bridge every morning to the place I’d chosen to park. The staff were friendly and the overall vibe was great. Würzburg is a pretty city and The Barthels was the perfect base to explore it from."

"A very nice hotel located only a few minutes walk from the center of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and definitely worth buying or adding on as an option when you book. Parking was easy and spacious. The hotel was very clean (apart from the shower head that had a lot of mineral build up which I cleaned off myself to improve the water pressure in the shower). Located right across the road from a school but we didn't experience any noise problems at all. It's centrally located in a safe area and withing easy walking distance to the main town square. Would we stay here again? Most definitely yes! A very nice hotel providing every amenity we needed."

"Hotel was conveniently located close to the train station and city centre. Hotel room was very elegant with a comfortable bed, big TV and nice city view from the window. Breakfast was pricey at 18 Euros but very good. Nice staff, I wish we had stayed a bit longer."
