We arrived very late at night after driving for almost 20 hours. We had to wait several minutes outside in the cold and wind for the staff to come to the front desk to check in. He was very short with us and rude. A security deposit was required in case of damages. Every time I have had a security deposit in the past, it was a "hold" on my card that was released upon checkout. This time, however, a $50 charge was placed. We have stayed with the Quality Inn brand many times in the past. We love their policy that children stay for free with parents as long as no additional bedding is requested. This time, however, the staff saw my child and stated that I would not be getting my security deposit back. This was before we even entered the room. When we got into the room, it looked nothing like the pictures on the website. It was extremely small. The bathroom was dirty and had a spot on the ceiling that looked like feces. We brought our own pillows and blankets for the drive, and thank goodness we did. When we turned down the beds the sheets were dirty, had hair and other things in them, and there were several cigarette burns in the bedding. We had to sleep with our own bedding on top of the beds. We also requested a non-smoking room, but the room reeked of cigarette smoke. We were very disappointed with our stay here. The price was originally good, but once my security deposit was taken and only partially refunded, the price was definitely not worth the value. Disappointing.
