"My goodness, what an amazing property! Although distant from most major hotspots, it is smack in the middle of nature, and far away from the traffic and noise of civilization. This unique property includes an old large wine making room with equipment, the entry to the breakfast and dinner rooms. Charming and outstanding."

"The hotel is on a square in a lovely part of town, with free parking available on the square and a street back too. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a small pool and space to lounge in the sun. The rooms were very clean and the electric blinds kept out the sun brilliantly. The staff didn't speak much english but we muddled through."

There was no shower cubicle but a shower attachment over the bath which was tricky to position and did not appear to be thermostatically controlled so the water temp varied. "What an amazing hotel ! It's split into two halves, with the dining (and much more - chapel, art gallery, lovely rooms, including a games room!) in a separate building across the courtyard. If it's raining, there is a tunnel connecting the two! The breakfast was very good - the evening meal (we had half-board) was reasonably good, not outstanding. We couldn't use the large outdoor pool this time, but it's impressive. Our main comment is about the staff, who were very friendly and incredibly helpful when we had a medical issue in the early hours of the morning of Saturday 21st September. The night porter was very kind and went out of his way to help - we're very grateful. The local A&E is close, and they dealt with the problem very well. We'd recommend this hotel, and it was great value, especially the half-board option."
