"Beware - I booked through Expedia but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. "I had a wonderful weekend in Lucca and I was very happy with San Luca Palace. I work online and for me the quality of wifi is the top importance and unfortunately quite often although the hotel website indicates they have wifi the quality would be very poor and I would not be able to do my work properly and would get anxious about it. Wifi was working very well, staff was helpful and the room was spacious. I look forward to being back to Lucca and staying in San Luca Palace. Thank you! "

"Couldn’t have been better. It was such an amazing building in a wonderful central location. The communal lounge was traditionally decorated and so relaxing. The room was large and relaxing with top quality furnishings, super large comfy bed. Bathroom was great with a nice strong shower. Our host was enthusiastic, friendly and very helpful. We took his advice and went to the Puccini theatre performance and museum. We hope to visit again. Lucca is fabulous and not to be missed."
