Slightly off the beaten track which is a benefit in itself, so quiet and amazing stars at night. Andre booked us a table at a local restaurant and that was excellent as well. "It was an adventure finding Belmesnil at night without GPS signal. We checked in late after resolving a minor confusion with our reservation. Found out that we had the entire chateau to ourselves for the night. My wife was afraid of ghosts but if there were any at Belmesnil, they were of the most welcoming and considerate kind. "Quite dated (decor from 60's and 70's like yellow or green sink) but overall good. I scored 4 stars because it would not be fair to other hotels which are brand new and modern. Staff super helpful. "

"Old building that feels tired but is also quite quaint. The location for the centre town is great and parking is very secure. The room we had had been modernised and was just fine. No aircon in room so if hot it might be uncomfortable. Great for one night stop off if travelling through France as we were. "
