As with virtually all hotels in Switzerland, there is no air conditioning so it is recommended to take a mini fan with you if visiting in the middle of summer. "

"We stayed in the economy room and it was quite uncomfortable, the mattress was a nightmare, the bed was very squeaky, the pillows were awful. We woke up both days with back pain. Additionally, the heating was too high so it was too warm for us and we were told it was a central heating so there was nothing we could do. When we opened the window the room got full of mosquitoes. "After two-week adventure, we stayed our last night in Europe at Hotel Hofbalzers. After a long driving day, we were happy to stretch our legs with a walk through the neighborhood to the old church and castle, both in view of the balcony off our hotel room.
