"We spent one night here whilst touring around Switzerland. It’s a lovely hotel on the side of a hill overlooking Lake Walensee. Hotel is in good order. As with virtually all hotels in Switzerland, there is no air conditioning so it is recommended to take a mini fan with you if visiting in the middle of summer. "

"We stayed in the economy room and it was quite uncomfortable, the mattress was a nightmare, the bed was very squeaky, the pillows were awful. We woke up both days with back pain. Additionally, the heating was too high so it was too warm for us and we were told it was a central heating so there was nothing we could do. When we opened the window the room got full of mosquitoes. "

"Comfortable stay nestled in a beautiful area with two gorgeous lakes in walking distance. Room was comfortable. Dinner was a bit pricy but good quality and the staff were all very kind. No vale was present to help me with my bags, which were pretty heavy walking up flights of stairs but I guess if I had asked them for help they would have asked someone to come."

"Even though it was cool outside, the room was not cooled down during the night as we couldn’t leave the balcony door open due to a lot of mosquitoes and bugs. Wish there were fans in the room! There were so MANY flies in the breakfast room and buzzing around bread and jam and such. And I’m not exaggerating at all. Wonder how clean everything is. "

"We arrived very late due to travel complications, and the staff at the hotel was extremely accommodating and allowed us to do a late check-out. They changed the whole cleaning pattern to allow us to stay a little bit longer than the normal check out time, and this allowed us to get some sleep and enjoy the fantastic shower in the room, as well as walk a little around the hotel, which is in a fantastic location. It is a great place to stay!"

"Great hotel, rooms were immaculate; clean really well furnished new, fabulous showers, comfortable beds, really good coffee machine in rooms, and great breakfast. Things to note: Checking was easy at a self checkin machine we only saw one member of staff at breakfast. This was not a problem for us. You are right next to a train line, bring ear plugs as there is no air-con so you will want the windows open in the summer and the freight trains at night are LOUD! Ear plugs fix this though. "Glarnerhof has always been a great place to stay and to eat. The restaurant is very busy with locals for lunch and dinner. I had lamb twice that was so mild that I might have thought it was beef. The hotel is undergoing a remodel which will be done soon but I did not encounter too much trouble from that. "After two-week adventure, we stayed our last night in Europe at Hotel Hofbalzers. After a long driving day, we were happy to stretch our legs with a walk through the neighborhood to the old church and castle, both in view of the balcony off our hotel room. Then, we enjoyed a very nice dinner on-site at the hotel restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful; the room clean and comfortable; and a lovely breakfast to send us off. Highly recommended!"

"The lobby smelled strongly of smoke due to the smoking room nearby, and that's never a good sign. The rooms were fine and breakfast was average. No AC, but there were fans which we used. Would choose a different hotel next time."

"We loved this property. It was so serene. The wellness center was perfect for the end of our European holiday. Would highly recommend. The only recommendation (albeit very minor) I would have for the hotel is to offer some meal options that are a little more healthy/simple. But other than that, we absolutely loved our stay. "

"It was in the middle of Vaduz, right next to the casino, shopping and dining. The room was clean and spacious. Maybe a caution during summer - no A/C as far as we saw. We were very comfortable with the window open and our sound machine. Fabiana was fantastic!"
