The museum was founded in 1998. In its early days, it was small enough to fit inside a single hangar. Visit today, however, and see how it has expanded into a huge and varied attraction over the years. The museum relocated to Tulsa International Airport in 2005, and its exhibits now sprawl across almost 18 acres (7 hectares).

Experience air travel as it was in the 1930s in the careful reproduction of an art deco airport terminal. Take a look inside the cockpit of an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. Reach Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium from downtown Tulsa in about 10 minutes by car. The museum is usually closed on Sundays. As it is attached to the airport, it is a great place to relax for a few hours before catching a flight out of the city.
