"We had the room that was considered traditional and western. It had the area for the table and chairs, which then became the sleep area for 2 people with the traditional mats and in the other part of the room were 2 twin beds. Staff was very helpful and helped us arrange the shipping of our luggage. This is next to the train and bus stations so easy to catch transportation. About a 10 minute walk to the older shopping district. Convenient to have a microwave in the room to cook food. A large grocery store was about a 15 minute walk. Being next to the bus and train station did not give great views, but we were booking for the space for 4 adults and the convenience of getting around. This room had a washer/dryer combo, which was a plus because it allowed us to not have to pack as many clothes for the trip."

"The doubletree in Toyama was a nice, clean hotel well located for walking to many places in Toyama. I had very limited knowledge of Toyama going into the trip but the city is lovely!!! Had a great time getting drunk with some locals at a nearby bar and the Rotate sushi place a few blocks from the hotel was phenomenal. I can’t speak to the hotel breakfast since we didn’t partake but any hotel breakfast buffet can’t be so bad right??"

"The hotel is fantastic. It’s a short walk from the train station, so it’s very well situated. The building is beautiful and well-maintained. They do good job of providing bathroom items, juice, and other travel conveniences for hotel guests. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was spacious and had a really nice bathtub, which was great for relaxing. The breakfast had a good selection and the food was delicious(it’s provided by an Italian restaurant attached to the hotel). There’s a 7-11 next to the hotel as well, so you can easily pick up toiletries or any travel necessities you might have forgotten. Most of the nearby attractions in Kanazawa are about 10 minutes away by Uber, so it was very easy to get to all the important tourist spots. I really enjoyed my stay here and would certainly stay here again."

"Right opposite Dentetsu station which was perfect to get to after we did Alpen-route from Oginawa direction. Stayed 3 nights used hotel as a base for that plus to go to Kanazawa (20 mins by train), & Fukui (45 mins by train) to Dinosaur museum & also look around Toyama itself rather than drag our bags from hotel to hotel in those places plan worked perfectly. Hotel room good as was included breakfast. "
