"Had a lovely stay. First time to lisbon and wasnt fully aware of the hills. Was close to a good bit of action but walking from central plaza back to room is a bear. Luckily it is on a bus line and uber is dirt cheap. If using bus or tram be sure to study the routes since the system can be confusing. Back to apartment, each morning fresh baked rolls are left on door handle. Housekeeping meticulous about cleaning and restocking room."

"The specific 1br apartment configuration I had felt like it could have used some more hooks and places to hang things. Otherwise the bathroom was spacious (showed leaked at door seam though) and the bed was comfortable. Facing interior area made it a bit more quiet. I've stayed here before and definitely would again!"

"The room was perfect for our family. The LOCATION was best because of how central it was to any event we wanted to attend. All the beds are very comfortable and the room was very spacious. The concierge was very friendly and has welcomed us and provided us with suggestions as to where to visit and great places to eat around the area. They even gave us a welcoming gifts in our room. "The location and size of this place is outstanding. The unit was huge and the bathroom was the biggest we have seen in Portugal. Everything was walkable and the area was quite safe and easy to navigate. That said, communication with the host was lacking. Once we figured things out we were good to go though. Side note, you are right on top of the tram, so you can hear it running all day / evening. It really didn’t bother us and we actually thought it was funny. I’m not sure we would stay here...

"I checked in on my 40th birthday and the front desk had upgraded my room without even requesting. We went out for dinner and the room was decorated with local bottle of bubbles, cake, chocolates and lavender pouches. Really made my day special! The indoor pool is nice with warm water! "

"Had a wonderful stay, location is perfect. The train station is right at the door, shops and restaurants, churches and trams right there. It's a lovely area to stay, very vibrant even in the off season. Walkable to tourist areas. Our room was very spacious, clean and had a fridge. Wifi worked well. Bathroom was a nice size. *Note there are no tea/coffee in the room.* Breakfast was lovely, huge variety and in a large room. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!"

"Lisbon was our last stop after being in Portugal for 10 days. Although our stay at Esqina was fine, it was not as cozy as I was hoping it would be. I can't ding them on ratings, and I haven't stayed in other hotels in Lisbon, but it didn't feel like a 4 star hotel based on other places I've stayed in Europe. The bathroom was tiny and the lighting was odd. It felt more like a basic travel lodge, versus a cosmopolitan hotel. With that said, the location was great, breakfast was good. "
