"Staff were as usual friendly and helpful. In a lovely position on the front. What lets the Grand down is the lack of parking, they have now lost free parking in the rail station, so you can park in a rugby ground over the road for £5 per day or in their "garage " which is really a large shed for £10 . Having said that we really love the hotel and will come back 2 or 3 times a year as usual. "

"This hotel is great for a few days break, a bit dated but the room was big, bed lovely and comfortable and facilities were way above many hotels, plenty of tea, coffe and milk, the breakfast is the best we have had in many hotels and the coffee great, the owners are friendly and always willing to help, will be using this hotel again"

"Rating based entirely on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the fantastic spa facilities. There was work going on while we were there which was a minor inconvenience but the room we stayed in was the real let down. Dated and uncared for. The bathroom was poorly finished and the shower was not the cleanest. The flooring was lifting and squishy in places and the room itself smelt of damp.
