"My husband and I wanted four nights away in the sunshine and warmth to sit and look at the sea and feel indulged and that is exactly what the hotel La Isla y El Mar gave us. Wonderful friendly and happy staff from reception to the restaurant to the bar. We even got a new cocktail on the house from David in the Kentia bar! We had a wonderful massage and couples experience in the spa. If you want to get away for a short break to the warmth and not do very much this is the perfect spot."

"La Penita is in a great location. Check in was very pleasant and quick. Our apartment was clean enough and had plenty of kitchen equipment. The towels are small and very well worn. Maid came twice during our stay and again on day before we left to empty bin and leave clean towels. The beds are two singles pushed together , we found that to be very uncomfortable. "Booked superior room , lovely shower, big room. Food v good. Plenty sun beds, 15 min in taxi to airport. Nice spa. No WiFi in room& poor WiFi at pool. No kettle in room, hire it at front desk. Safe is 4euro per day. Hotel needs updating however it is clean & good location. Aircraft noise didn’t bother me but you are pretty much on the end of the runway."

"Clean and basic. Was in room D13 very close to pool. We were in a 2 bedroom apartment, loads of space. Did not open the bedroom curtains while there as the view was a space to keep sunbeds or chairs Pool was ice cold, pool bar only open a few hours. Would not revisit "
