"A fantastic find for our needs. The owner was exceptionally helpful. Central to the city. Great value for money. We had a great room. However a few things to make it better : 1- the oven/microwave didn’t work even after trying a few times. It needs a master in engineering to make it work. Maybe stick with 2 separate items. 2- Not ideal for light sleepers. Can sadly hear a lot through the walls. 3- although the apartment was clean. I am not too sure the hoover was done. "The apartment is lovely furnished with a full kitchen and it is very clean and everything you need is ready. The hot chocolate and the biscuits are so lovely. Staffs are nice and ready to help. There is an ice cream farm nearby. The milk and ice cream are fabulous. "

"The Redbrook lodge was beautiful. Ample parking at the property and easy to get to. Everything supplied that you would need for an overnight stay. The bathroom door was a bit tempramental as it is on a runner but i assume it just needed fitting back onto the runner so not really a criticism. The outdoor lights were not working but the warden was quick to come and attempt to fix them, but was unsuccessful. I would still stay again."

"Our second stay and we love that all of the rooms have a different character and decor. The location is very quiet and peaceful. We had a corner room with views down the valley as well as overlooking a brook and wooded area. Just one reminder - take your own hot drinks supplies."

"Stayed for 2 nights room only at booking but but for breakfast when i arrived...Room was comfortable but with very limited view 2 teabags and 4 sachets off milk was all that was in the room but when i went to reception they let me take what i wanted👍breakfast was very good a help yourself buffet with good selection would stay again but only if the price was right😉"

"Amazing stay! We choose this hotel as had a gig in the O2 Academy only a short walk away. Perfect location, with LOADS of food around. The room was clean and just what ya needed for your stay! Loved that there was a recycling bin in your room too! Also do forgot the amazing free refreshments that they have in reception! Coffee machine, a variety of teas there was even syrups! "

"The hotel was amazing, was clean and refreshing. Staff were friendly and compensating. Only thing that let the room down was an annoying creaking noise coming from the ceiling. We informed Dean who was very understanding of the situation with amazing customer service. we will be back "

"We had a fabulous two night stay. Staff were wonderful throughout our stay, made us very welcome. Hôtel is charming and our room was spacious and can fault anything about it. One of the best places we stayed. Big shout out to Caroline who arranged for a little surprise for my husband and to the lovely lady who served us behind the bar. ( we didn’t get her name) We will definitely be coming back. "

Fantastic stay

"I recently stayed at Mercure with friends and kids, and we had a fantastic experience. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable, making our stay relaxing. The bar had a great selection of drinks and a lively atmosphere, perfect for unwinding in the evening. The spa was a highlight, offering excellent treatments and a truly calming ambiance. The kids especially loved the swimming pool, which was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with something for everyone—highly recommended!"

A good place to stay

"A good place to stay for a budget without any frills. Most of my time was spent outside of my Hotel Room anyways. The location is perfect for traveling since it's close to both the bus station and the train station, and there's plenty of shopping centers and restaurants and bars around."
