"Comfortable, calm space for a 4 day stay. However, the ‘kitchenette’ was incredibly poorly stocked and unworkable. Really, no different than any hotel with bar fridge and microwave. There were no containers to use to heat/ cook in micro and had to request 2nd coffee cup. If these shortcomings were alleviated it would be excellent "

" Very good stay. Great room and shower/tub. Excellent view of the river. Comfortable bed and room clean. Staff courteous and friendly. Enjoyed the pool and wet bar area. Excellent breakfast. Valet quick and good. Only irritation is the music which is loud and played in the wet bar and reception. Cannot hear anyone speak. Conveniently sited. Will go back for sure. "

The food was great and the staff in the Lab Restaurant were fantastic and friendly, a special thank you to Grant the concierge who went out of his way to show us around the hotel, telling us about the history of the building and made sure our stay was the best."

"We stayed there for a week in January and absolutely loved it. The front desk reception allowed us to check in early (we arrived just after 12pm from New Zealand so we’d been up quite early). The room was nice and clean, had all the facilities we needed. There are lots of yummy restaurants close by, and the public bus stops are just down the road. We really enjoyed the river walk as well. It’s close enough to South Bank yet its price is a very reasonable. Overall it’s been a very enjoyable...

Consistently comfortable hotel

"It was a lovely comfortable room. I could hear my neighbor's tv any time it was on. They used to have a restaurant attached to the hotel but it's now separate. That means that room service isn't an option. I often walked down to that restaurant for breakfast or dinner, but it would have been nice to just call room service. "
