"Personally I think Tmark is the best hotel in Vang Vieng. Lovely views of the river and mountains, clean pool, and immaculate landscaping. The staff also are friendly and helpful. Our room was plenty big for the two of us. There is a bridge being built right next to it, and I think once that project is complete, then it will really place Tmark at the top of the hotels in VV. It’s about a 3 minute drive or a 15 min walk from the hotel to the city center. "

"Spent 3 nights at this hotel and it was a great experience. The hotel is on the older side but the room is huge, the ac is cold and the wifi works great. For the price of a fast food meal in the west, what more could you ask for? The best part of the stay is without a doubt the hospitable owner Michael and his wife. Not only were they friendly, Michael offered me many great advices and even treated me to a wonder dinner his wife prepared on my last night. Overall, for what you are paying....

"Very disappointed. Firstly there was no elevator and our rooms were on the 3rd and 4th level. The doors of the rooms had gaps. There was minimal furnishing and power points. No bedside tables were provided. Toilet amenities were basic and inadequate. Breakfast was pathetic. The only serving grace were the staff. They were humble and friendly, including the owner, who also played the bell boy roll and was apologetic that we had to climb the stairs to our rooms."

""misleading" probably sums this place up, but that's being kind. There is no swimming pool on site despite what the photos and listings show. You have to walk 300m across town to another hotel. There is no balcony in the room despite what the photos show. Breakfast is poor and despite there being a picture of bacon eggs and hash browns... It's just eggs. It's also worth pointing out the inflated prices compared to elsewhere in town. Laundry costs 30% more. Renting a motorbike costs...
