"Travelled as an extended family from Taranaki and stayed in the 3-bed unit. This was great. Plenty of space and all beds were comfortable. Aircon was reliable, tv had sky, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Only critique was that the bathroom hadn't yet been redone - however this was expected to occur in next few weeks and based on the other remodelling work carried out we expect that to really enhance the unit. As an aside the motel has been updated significantly in the past 6-9...

"The rooms are up narrow stairs. I got sick of walking up and down the stairs. The kitchen needs renovating. Maybe some pot plants and some new flooring would make this area more inviting and less tired and dirty looking. The room was clean and had a good ensuite and a TV. This was good. But with the window open, the room door rattled all night. It is right in the middle of the town and above a bar. So there is quite a bit of traffic and bar noise"

"My wife and I along with our 5 year old grandson stayed there for two nights. Excellent location with direct access from the room to the lake path. We had a water leak in the bathroom on our second day, which the owner sorted out quickly. The owner gave our grandson a goodie bag and gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Some parts of the property are in need of renovation, but the new owners are busily working through the renovations. Great location and friendly owners and staff."
