"The Ascott is an older style motel. The room was large, however the was not enough space to put your luggage except the floor. There were good drapes, so the room was dark at night, which helps with sleeping. the unit was clean apart from a few ants in the bath room "

"The staff member I dealt with was lovely. I think we stayed in the same room in 2020 (204). The bathroom desperately needed upgrading then and is worse now. It was cleaned as much as possible, but framing and the shower is bubbling and crumbling away. The soap dish was broken with the remnant left. In the kitchen, the scrubbing brush was filthy and old, with the dishwasher liquid so watered down as to be useless. "This cute retro hotel is a short walk to the Lake. It has the best service ever - truly retro in a good way! They still tidy the room daily, bring fresh towels, offer laundry service, free bike loan, and are so helpful and informative. Highly recommend!"
