"The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were all excellent except one female behind the bar, who for some reason looked straight through me and washed some measures as I stood at the bar, then just walked away and started washing glasses. The breakfast was excellent and overall we really enjoyed our stay."

"Nice hotel good food and friendly and attentive staff. Rooms are very nice too. Unfortunately the bathrooms let it down. The shower screens are too short so water goes everywhere and floods the bathroom and the sinks are not bathroom sinks, they are designed for small toilets and there are no hooks on the doors. They are so small you can't get the kettle in to fill it up and if you do something like washing your face, again water goes everywhere, not good. Shame because the rest of the hotel is...

"Lovely real ale country pub with rooms. Very rustic but with all home comforts and little extras. Great view over countryside with cows grazing nearby. Breakfast freshly cooked and generous portions. Used as overnight stay following wedding at Crowcombe court (5 mins walk) but also great for walkers etc exploring the Exmoor area. Highly recommend "
