So many things to like about the hotel and rooms. Room was nicely fitted out and was noise from the pub below was minimal. Really close to restaurants and supermarket. Randwick is a great place to stay. One small negative was theShower grout was moist and needed cleaning.

I've stayed at the Royal twice now when i've had medical appointments nearby. Both bedrooms and ensuites were very clean, pleasantly decorated and very comfortable. The dining room and bar area serves well priced and good quality meals & drinks. Reception was efficient and courteous. On both occasions my rooms were far enough from the bar area to ensure i was not bothered by late night noise, and i actually don't even know if noise IS ever an issue in the accommodation areas. A well maintained lovely old hotel mercifully not ruined by the 'developers'. I will happily stay there again if I am in the area.

A convenient place to stay if you are visiting POWH for work. I could not get to sleep well as the pillows are uncomfortable. This is an area of improvement. Also they can have netflix option.

Always have had 5 star experience at the Royal, this time, not so much, but they were full so maybe just a one off, the room off the courtyard not as clean and tidy as the upstairs rooms, some one was using a leaf blower, early in the morning, and the lady at reception was not as pleasant as usual
