The standard room we booked was below standard so we asked and paid for an upgrade to a queen deluxe room which was good. Only a toaster was provided, a microwave oven is needed.

The room was so noisy from the traffic and the walls paper thin. We have stayed at the property before and had a room away from the main road which was so much better. The toilet button was broken. The rooms could do with a facelift to match the rest of the property. Pool area is lovely. When I asked at the desk for any other shops apart from the main street or if there was antique of vintage shops, I was told there was nothing to do except Pioneer Settlement! After I drove around , I actually found a vintage store. They had brochures and I said they should take them to the hotels, and they said they did but Swan Hill Resort refused to take them.

Spacious room. Great price as it was on special. Nice to have heater already on. Hot shower. Plenty of room to park the car. Room facing main street was noisy at times from traffic. Stairs to get to room. No milk in fridge. Didn’t know where to leave the key, not signed well.

Disappointing and drab
We booked a superior queen room but there was nothing superior about this room. The room was old and dingy and not welcoming. It was probably clean but because it is dark and run down it doesn’t feel like it. The photos on the website make this motel look much better than it is. The location is good close to shops, the pioneer village and places to eat.

The hot water tap on the sink did not work and the cold water tap dripped constantly. Apart from that we had no concerns except that the resort is starting to look a bit old and tired compared to when we first started to stay there.
