Beautiful well presented property with well maintained historical furniture that feels like you’ve stepped back in time, beautiful views of the mountains and ocean owners are helpful and friendly
Joanne the host was friendly and helpful, and the bell tent was a novelty with stunning views of the beach and coastline.
The highlight for me was the highland cows on the property, black and brown in colour with their massive horns and was lucky to be able feed them.
Seacroft Estate is a great value for money accommodation option, along the Great Ocean Road, and only 15mins from Apollo Bay, where cafe and restaurants are plentiful.
Amazing amazing accomodation! So unique and in such a beautiful spot, cute little coffee bench that overlooks the alpacas and highland cows! Also loved the big fully equipped kitchen!!
Good place to stop by on the great ocean road. Lovely farm and views of the sea from the property. The shared kitchen was well equipped and dining room/lounge were large enough to accommodate guests. Room did get cold but a heater was provided and the beds were very comfy. Shared bathrooms were clean.
Seacroft was absolutely lovely! I stayed in the treehouse and enjoyed a magical view of the oceanside and farm animals. It was quiet and easily accessible. Can't recommend enough!
We stayed in the studio and it was fantastic, the bed was divine, we had our own private deck with chairs table and banana lounges. The only down side is the kitchenette really had no accessories for cooking. Also the fridge was not cold at all so our drinks didn’t get cold. Otherwise a wonderful stay, loved the automatic ground coffee machine
This was once a monastery so the bedrooms are small, but the communal areas are spacious. Sea views from the sunroom. A well stocked kitchen. A very peaceful location. Shared bathrooms which are multigender. No TV. A good place for groups. Child friendly. Good communication.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
My room had two single beds; a painted wooden chair; a very small electric heater; a single overhead light bulb and two small plastic bedside lamps and nothing else.
On my journey from Adelaide I had stayed in two motels prior to Seacroft which were about half the price of Seacroft.
They both had an in room toilet and shower; refrigerator, electric kettle, toaster, microwave and basic crockery.
Seacroft with its shared bathroom/toilet facilities and communal kitchen would best suit a student group or a religious faith retreat. In my opinion it is not suitable for national and international travellers.

The view from my room was wonderfull, and the property is located conveniently between Lorne and Apollo Bay. Unfortunately, that is where the good things end.
The treehouse room that I stayed in was a windowless box barely large enough to fit a double bed - which wasn’t the end of the world considering the large communal areas. But the room was stiflingly hot with the door closed, and leaving the door open resulted in hundreds of mosquitoes filling the room.
I wound up leaving the room at midnight to sleep on the couch in the common room.
I would definitely not recommend spending $200 if there are any other available rooms.
Cons:
1. The room is so small that one side of the bed touches the wall. There is no fan/AC in the room which makes it hot during the day.
2. The shared bathroom area wasn't cleaned in the morning. It had dead insects all over the floor.
3. Disturbance from other guests at night - Not the owner's fault but the guests have to be mindful of the fact that it is a shared accommodation.
4. Overpriced for a shared accommodation considering the comfort factor was missing.
Pros:
1. The ocean view from the room is excellent.
2. The shared kitchen and the activity/lounge area is well equipped.
I'm unsure what to say about this experience other than you get the distinct impression these accommodation providers are taking you for a ride.
We stayed in the "tree house" which is both structurally unsound it sways! and is so small you have to depart the room over the end of the bed.
Severe claustrophobics beware.
The "hospitality" such that it is extends to an otherwise absent owner who suggested (via text message) that the reason he doesn't include wifi is that there are as yet 'no cables over the mountains.'
It never occurred to him that with satellite communications he could offer a better service for very little. It would go part-way towards making up for every other shortfall....of which there are too many to list here.
The view is excellent. There's no taking that away from the location. But this is a natural occurrence. One need thank the universe or the almighty for this.
In short: stay clear of this mob.
Get your carpenters to add more cross bracing to the structure supporting the room mosquitos were eating us alive , no room in the bedroom to bring our luggage didn’t feel comfortable at all the view is five star hand rails were missing long walk to toilet kitchen Don’t think the structure and conditions would be compliant felt like we staying in a makeshift building never experienced any thing such before my partner was very disappointed we paid any money for this place even though sheets and towels were supplied sorry to tell you it may help you to prevent a disaster in the near future , all the best with what you are serving up !
