"I booked this break for my wife's big birthday. We stayed for 2 nights on B&B basis. The hotel looked very festive when we arrived as all the Christmas trees had been put up and decorated. "Lovely historic building, with stylish and welcoming interiors in all rooms and a lovely roaring fire in the reception area. Lots of nice comfy sofas and seating areas. Bedroom was very comfortable, nicely decorated, the en suite was modern and well maintained. Dinner menu was delicious, with attentive and curteous waiting on tables. Breakfast was also exemplary. We only stayed for one night but would happily have stayed longer if we could. "

"Great location for exploring the city centre with easy access by frequent buses that go into the city. Bus stop is only 2/3 minutes walk from the hotel. Really good sleep as it's quiet and comfortable. Parking at the hotel is easy. "

"Hotel was clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed the use of the swimming pool. Our bedroom and bathroom were both very big. Only things that let it down slightly was the walls in the bedroom were very badly chipped on the corners. But otherwise very happy with our stay. "

"Lovely well-appointed apartment. Helpful staff 24 hours. Fly in the ointment was the loud and prolonged late-night music from the nearby night club. Ear plugs helped somewhat for second night. Ask to be put on the other side of the building - I’m advised it’s much quieter."

Great stay

"We had a great 2 night stay in a pitch view room. The room was comfy and clean and a great view of the pitch. Beds were very small and not the comfiest. Hotel was in a great location and with onsite parking. Chargeable but as expected for town centre. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Will definitely be back (maybe for a bigger bed/room) "
