"What a horrible experience! It took us almost an hour to drive there, only to find out that the owl "made a mistake" and did not have a room for us. It's been over a week now and we are still trying to get back the money that we paid the owner. ($188 USD). We asked around at the neighborhood and found out that he does all of the time. What I would like to know is why Expedia even lists this property!!!"

"We were welcomed and checked in warmly by reception. We had also pre-registered online by the welcome email from Hotel Baren. Their staff went the extra mile to provide extra latex pillow and fixed the safe locking error when requested. "Came in tried from hiking in Interlaken, staff was great, room was ready - next day they stored our luggage and give us umbrellas to use while we toured the old part of town in the rain, breakfast was also very good."
