"AVOID. The place is disgusting. They over charged us/ripped us off. The area smells of poo (as it’s in a farm). The pool is green/mouldy. The receptionist had the worst most acrid body odour I’ve ever smelt. We were shown a smelly, small dark room (which we declined) We were going to stay at first having booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. (As confirmed on the booking documentation) when arriving they said it would be another £50 per child and there had been a system mistake… I don’t...

"As a business traveller, this was a great find. On entry, the place has an amazing and welcoming patio garden which leads to the reception / bar. The room was immaculately clean as was the gigantic bathroom. The owner, Sandy, made me and other guests most welcome and i'll definitely be staying here again next month. "

The facilities are in excellent condition, very clean and contain all the equipment that you are likely to need. The food is also excellent and I shall be back for another visit when I'm next over. "Hotel Recour was without a doubt the best place we stayed the entire time we were in Europe. The staff were beyond helpful and friendly, the prices were very reasonable, breakfast was a wonderful spread and the location cannot be beat. And that's not even mentioning the absolutely beautiful room with a large bath that was very welcome after the trek out to Poperinge!"

"Beautiful location with horse and goats in the garden, balcony was amazing we could have just stayed there all day. However we chose this location to view the war graves and the lost post bridge and it was a perfect location. Breakfast was amazing, fridge well stocked with wine and beer. The just was friendly and helpful. This was our last stop on our two week trip around Northern Europe and we definitely saved the best til last. We hope to be back as there was so much to see we didn’t get it...
