"The Upstairs hotel was a very stylish and fun hotel just steps from the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful! One small point is if you do book one of the small/cheap rooms, they aren't easily accessible via the lifts. You will need to go down a couple of flights of stairs which can be tough with heavy luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ostend!"

"We had a great experience during our short stay (3 nights). Staff is very friendly and helpful, any issues were solved bery fast. Breakfast buffet has a wide range of choices for everyone’s taste. Did not have a chance to try out wellness facilities but it looked nice."

"This was our first visit to this hotel which is on the outskirts of Veurne near the park. There is parking in the grounds and the gates are locked at night. It's an attractive old building with high ceilings and our room was large with bedding for three if needed. Breakfast was very good with an excellent selection of fruit, ham and cheese with copious buns. It is family run and they are very friendly. We will return in the near future."

"Lovely hotel in a great location for seeing Ostend and an easy walk to the bus/train station. On checking in the receptionist directed us to a free car park and we left our car there from Friday to Monday with no problems. Im afraid we didn't eat or drink at the hotel so cant comment but it always seemed busy. The beds were huge and very comfortable we will definitely stay here again if we come back "

"We stayed for one night as we previously had a day trip last year and loved the area, so thought we would return for a night away! Fantastic location ! Right on the main high st but only a stone throw from the beach too so we will definitely return in the summer next year! The room was really comfortable and the breakfast included was perfect! All the staff were so lovely that we not look anywhere else and definitely stay here again next year ! Thank you for a fabulous stay . "

"Just over the border from France, a good stop if you are heading north from Clais. Quiet location, parking appears limited at first sight but the hotel will tell you where you can park if you arrive when the restaurant is busy. Staff all very friendly, welcoming and professional. " The hotel is in a good location, and is ideal for the town centre, my satnav directed me to it with ease. Upon arrival, check in was quick and efficient. Initially I parked on street using the English language enabled parking meter and card payment. I then used the hotel car park, which was quite expensive, for our two day stay. "The hotel is well located in the city centre but not frontline beach. Quite a basic hotel with no frills or air conditioning in the room. The mattress on the bed was probably the softest I've ever slept on and really not my style. No 24 hour reception, in fact it closes at 6pm which is not great. On the night we stayed this price was way to high for the quality. "

"I liked the proximity to the Zwin and the possibility to rent bikes from the hotel. Breakfast is impressive, with a diversity of breads, cheese, charcuterie, etc. that should please everyone. Also very good coffee."
