We had the best time in St Augustine. Hotel is on a nice area close to attractions.

We had to pay $25/night for parking that left us circling the small parking lot multiple times before we could find an available space. The hotel did not seem like anything better than a Red Roof, Holiday Inn Express, etc (2-2.5 star) type hotel, when it’s supposed to be considered top notch (4 star). Breakfast charges were inconsistent—signs were made for continental or $2 more for full breakfast, but no distinction was ever made between the two by staff and we were always charged for the full breakfast; our kids (1.5 & 3.5) were free one day (we were told “kids under 7 eat free” that morning) but then charged $9 the next because “no one eats free and the staff isn’t on the same page”. Just not the experience we were expecting. Not a bad place to stay, but definitely disappointed by the experience.

Room was great. Big and clean. Window view was of a dilapidated property next door. Ugh. No coffee in the lobby. Coffee service in room was terrible. Checking in we were sent to the wrong room. Minor inconveniences. Overall an okay place for the price and location. If only there was a Starbucks nearby.

The place is like a dog kennel with barking dogs on every floor. I went to the front desk to complain about a barking dog in the room across from us and there was already someone else there complaining about the dog. While at the front desk someone else called about another dog barking. They moved us to another room on another floor and within ten minutes of being in the room we were hearing a dog barking.
