"Older hotel situated in carefully tended gardens with spectacular views of the sea. Bathrooms are small but clean. The restaurant is open for breakfast buffet and dinner and the food and staff were great. Lots of local seafood. Excellent wine list with many Ischia wines. Situated out of Ischia Porto town so a car is advisable if you want to explore the island. "Hotel and beach are very relaxing and the staff is very nice. To get around its either up and down very big hills or you have to call down for a golf cart to go into town. We thought it was a little more walkable than it is. If you are looking for a quiet getaway- this place would be perfect. "

"The staff were more than excellent. The room and the sea view/castle view were excellent. The breakfast was unbelievably excellent with so many food/drink options. I didn’t swim in the pool as it wasn’t as blue as pictured in the advertisement (was a shade of green/couldn’t see the bottom) but the thermal pools were nice and relaxing. "My daughter and I had a wonderful 6 days at Continental Mare. Our room was upgraded (thank you very, very much!) and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were very good, with great gluten-free options. The shuttle to town was very helpful and the short-cut walking path to town gave us a bit of exercise, but was easier than I expected. No negatives at all - our stay was excellent."

"We found this hotel coincidentally via Expedia. We didn’t know what to expect as we didn’t know the island and the area as well as the facility. As soon as we arrived, we were blown away by the view from the room, the thermal swimming pool, and gift from the hotel for our anniversary, and all the more, the hospitality of the staff!! Although it is a bit of walk (12-13 min) from the port, the hotel provides courtesy ride to the town every hour, if we wanted to stay and relax at the hotel, they provide dinner as well. We had a great 4 nights stay here and we will definitely come back again. "
