"On the Historic Registry of Hotels. It is the kind of place we choose to stay. Quiet. Nice thick walls. Don’t be put off by the small elevator or aged halls. The room was lovely. Updated. Clean. Comfortable QUIET. Staff is first rate and the restaurant served the best salads. All portions large and prices quite low Staff are friendly and helpful. We had three crazy “grandkid sports days”. This was our sane retreat. Directly across from the Capitol building…a piece of the age of elegance "
