"Very convenient for an overnight stay. Easy access from I81. Property is older with no elevator. There is a ramp for the ground floor rooms to easily move luggage. Room was very clean, bed linens clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice. Great value. "

Rural Retreat - 1 Mile to Holston River Weir Dam!

Very poor.

"The cabin smelled like mild dew. The air conditioner filter looked like it had never been clean. There is mold on the ceiling in the big bedroom and the bathroom. The mattress in the big bedroom was hard. The lawn was over grown. The driveway should be something that you tell your guest prior to staying. 4x4 would be a good idea. If it would have rained while we were there it would have been very difficult to leave."

Reconsider.

"Unfortunately after the first night we woke up to problems. The kitchen was infested with roaches. Not one or two but multiple roaches and variety of sizes which tells me it has not been treated properly or at all. I wanted to give the host a chance to respond but it’s been 48hours and I have not heard back from anyone. Because of the problem we had to check, wash, repack everything we brought in and place all our items on the beds and dressers to keep them off the floor. It’s unfortunate because I wanted to give the owner’s benefit of the doubt as well as a chance to explain and rectify the problem as they did the first night when we found hornets nests in the gazebo (which we also were not able to use). It’s more irritating that we never heard back from anyone. "
