"We absolutely loved Placmakr! The area was fantastic so close to the Hudson and ferry’s and Brooklyn bridge. Subway close by. Walked all around the financial district which is lovely. Our room was enormous!! Definitely a cool spot to stay"

"First room had dirty sheets but actually loved the room otherwise. Updated bathroom, wood floors, spacious for NYC. Was given another room which faced 1st so nosier which wasn't a problem for me. Enjoyed people watching a bit. The bathroom in this room needed updating. Fridge was not on and food rotted. When I turned fridge on, I realized that the reason the hotel didn't turn it on was because it was excessively and annoyingly loud. I wish the first room was clean because I preferred the updated...

"What a gem! I was nervous about the virtual front desk but it worked out wonderfully. They allowed me to check in early which was a blessing on a cold January day! The room was compact but well put together. Great to have a fridge, tea, microwave and sound machine. I was able to make the room nice and warm during the day and cool at night to sleep. Also - the sheets smelled wonderful. My only suggestion is to allow the shower water to get hotter. Five stars!!"

"We stayed at the Arlo midtown for 5 nights and had a great stay. My favourite so far in Manhattan. Wonderful staff and a great room. Cozy bed, lots of towels and a nice bathroom. The gym is fantastic, way better than any other I've seen in a hotel. Their attempts at being environmentally friendly were spot on with nice reusable bottles of lovely products in the bathroom and cans of water provided daily. The only thing missing was a kettle or coffee maker in the bedroom, which I'm sure could be provided within the environmentally thoughtful plan of the hotel. Also, the spray/smell that happens in the lobby and sitting area can get a bit stinky - it seems to release in the air periodically. Otherwise highly recommended and we will stay again. "

"Park Central is a great choice if you're looking to stay in the Times Square/Central Park area. The rooms are very spacious for Manhattan and the pricing in early winter was fantastic. There is so much you can walk to nearby and there is easy access to the subway. We will definitely be staying here again."
