"The Genjyu restaurant staff was informed we were celebrating a friend's birthday as I ordered their signature chocolate cake. They did an outstanding job decorating a room with celebration wordings. After the meal was over, they ushered us to the room supposedly to have dessert. Staff joined us in singing birthday wishes. Much appreciated for going the full works."

"Excellent communication instructions ahead of arrival and we are fully aware of what to expect with the unmanned hotel check in. The place is unclean - the elevator is fully of dust on the wall and you can smell the old dusty smell. The cleaner ladies obviously sees it everyday and choose to ignore it as it’s the exact same for the 4 nights we stayed. "The property is attached to a mall which caters for tax free shopping which is great. Also those who are card collectors there was a shop a few hundred meters on the river from the hotel. There is a water show each day the doesn’t finish until 10pm so it not a place to stay if you want quiet."
