The receptionist was nice but there is some room for improvement of English skills. The location of the hotel is great with nice views of the main street. "My 18-year old niece and I loved our stay in the Royal Apartment when visiting the charming town of Banská Štiavnica. The apartment is enormous, beautiful and comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It was obvious that they wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including a wonderful breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Slovakia."

"Fantastic hotel set in an 800 year old castle. Stunning building, rooms beautifully furnished with all amenities, delightful castle grounds, magnificent setting for the restaurant with quality food. "Unfortunately the stay was way worse than expected. Of course, no one expects the decorative pillows to be super clean, but white stains?! Waiters, lady at the bar and a receptionist expecting a baby are super friendly. Rest of the personnel were not really glad to visitors. The toilet seat was not even assembled properly and it was detached from the floor. The soap dispenser had hair of a person who shaved there ages before. Bar furniture has holes all over. It's a pity to spend hours driving...
