"The Chalet Saudade is a feal gem! The property is a beautiful home with 3 floors of guestrooms below the main floor reception and sun room. We had an incredible large suite with entry hall, kitchenette, large bathroom, large bedroom with stone walls, comfy beds and a big screen TV. It also included living room and a door out to a private yard and access to an incredible garden. Breakfast was included at the nearby Cafe Saudade, and included fresh fruit smoothies, fresh bread, eggs, yogurt, granola and fresh fruit,served by friendly and attentive ladies. The only drawwback to this absolutely great spot is the semi-treacherous narrow winding stairs down to the room. There are less treacherous stairs up through the garden, but this is a challeng if you have large suitcases. Pack light and enjoy this enchanting place!"

"The only way to describe this hotel is oppulent. I felt like a celebrity in the room we got with the gigantic bed, marble everywhere and intricate decor. The check in was marvelous. They provide a full, made to order breakfast every morning with the most delicious fruit platter I have ever eaten. The sister hotel has wine and cheese each evening and we even got to see a fado show one day. The restaurant across the street was also sublime. One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. I will definitely stay there when I go to Sintra again."

"This is a good stay; I would come back without hesitation. Parking in hotel parking lot was a challenge but available. Street parking seemed abundant after hours so it may he preferable."
