The reception staff are very helpful. They're also the only English speaking people on the premises. They changed my room on request due to the loud karaoke bar next door. I was happy with my 2nd room.
The restaurant staff could do with a bit of training. They chopped up an omelette which I sent back because my order was for scrambled eggs.
We booked this hotel for a few reasons. Its location, breakfast included in room rate, hot water, air conditioners, and cable television.
Unfortunately the cable television had been disconnected through the entire hotel. One room the air conditioner did not work. The other room the hot water did not work. One of the rooms the door could not be locked from the outside.
We booked over a public holiday period expecting that services advertised would still be available. The first morning we were told we could not have breakfast because of the public holidays. Explained that we had paid for that service. Had to go back later and demand they cook us breakfast the following day. The following day breakfast was made - ok. The day after we asked for the same vegetarian fried rice for all four of us. It came out with meat in it. Sent one portion back explained in Khmer and English to staff that one of us do not eat meat. Staff sent out a plate five minutes later that was "vegetarian" - She had just tried to pick the meat out and re-serve it.
Tried to explain to the hotel manager through translate (she speaks Mandarin and cannot speak English or Khmer). She was upset that this had happened and tried to make amends. At this point I was quite disappointed in this hotel. I cannot recommend it given the many options available in the area where I have never had an issue.

Disliked: Room comfort
Hard to comprehend
There is supposed to be coffee and tea sachets in the room but was only tea so we asked for them to be replaced... still waiting. We did turn the jug on before working out no sachets you have to get on the floor under the table a put the jug on the safe as the cord won't reach and there is no where else it will reach either that might be ok for the young but those of us with old knees not do easy. Oh and the safe down on the floor isn't attached to anything... not do safe if anyone could walk off with it. After four days we decided to stay in the town another 2 days I had to ask for the sheets to be changed and the 2cups with mould in them in the bathroom to be cleaned. Breakfast has changed since my husband has been here a few years ago it used to be buffet and a good choice one of the reasons we came to this hotel. Now it's off the menu and very plain and small servings. They do actually have a buffet but we were told we couldn't use it because it's for the Chineese only as they pay extra I'd like yo how much extra as watching them most hours back three times. Thank goodness I bought my ear plugs as Our room is next to a large hotel which has kariokie on the roof at night and has very loud speakers goes to around 2am ever morning. So over all it's ok if your young fit and can sleep through anything. Food shops in the street are cheaper than pub street you can get a meal for $2. When we extended our days here at the front counter I got $20 per day off the original price.
Mid-City was a disaster. I don't understand how it's ratings are so high.
- They couldn't make basic change for a larger bill.
- They couldn't find my reservation.
- They first room they gave us was infested with bugs. The next two rooms they showed us had dirty sheets with stains and smear marks. The 4th room was ok. If it weren't so late and if we didn't have a tour picking us up from that hotel the next morning, we would have switched to another hotel.
- The room we ended up staying in did not have any hot water. Also, the shower was broken.
Comfortable bed... Very good aircon, I actually got cold at one point. Most friendly staff possible. They helped organise my trip to Angkor Wat and others with the hotel driver, Noi (unsure of spelling). He is a lot of fun, will have a joke and knows his way around.
We even got invited to one of the staff members weddings which was a lot of fun. Will be coming back to Siem Reap and this hotel
A new hotel 20 minutes drive from the airport and within walking distance of downtown bars and restaurants.
It has an outside pool and pool side bar, a decent hot buffet breakfast was included in our price.
The staff were very welcoming, attentative and helpful, most spoke at least English and some also spoke other languages such as Thai.
Our room were a reasonable size with a balcony and was cleaned well each day, our only gripe is that the main shower has no base for the water to drain, making it not so much a wet room as a flooded room including escaping under the door and into the main room!
Other than that, if your looking for a new 3 star hotel in a decent location with helpful friendly staff, then I recommend it.
The management store all the extra pillow blankets right in front of the lift once you walk out from the lift. Not a pleasant view at all. Staff doing the laundry next to my room and very noisy. Every minutes you will hear them walking past and talking out loud. Bugs like grasshopper, crickets and some unkonwn bugs are crawling in the room. On the floor, bed and tables. Staff are don't show welcome when they see us. And hotel transfer to airport are not been convey even we request 1 day earlier. End up we got to wait for the Tuk Tuk not by car to the airport. Really bad experience after being traveling so long.
Mid City Hotel was really great value, with very helpful staff. They made it very easy to arrange anything we wanted to do. We were only supposed to stay 1 night and ended up staying 4 nights. Location is perfect closed to Angkor Night market and Pub Street.
Overall very happy and would recommend to anyone.

poor standard of hotel service
Room is not clean enough, towel can't absorb water efficiently , toilet was block, so the room is smelly. House keeping is not efficient, not finish even until 5:30pm when we came back from outside, and want to clean the room while we were resting. the security box is too small even cant put in an ipad, worse of all there is no hot water, can only use cold after a tiring day out. The swimming pool water is dirty, taste salty. A karaoke is just next to hotel, so can be very noisy until late night. A lot flies around the restaurant during our breakfast. I wrote an detailed review but was rejected by Expedia without mention to me what's wrong with my review.
Nice location, hotel is clean and new, friendly staffs

Good value
Location is just a few minutes walk from night market and pub street. Friendly and helpful staff. Room and bed are generally clean but bathtub and sink still need more work. Would be great if hot water is available all the time. Overall a value for money!
Huonokuntoinen hotelli hissi ei toiminu tv ei toiminu koko hotellissa. Huoneen ovessa iso reikä joten kaikki äänet kuulu sisään eikä muutenkaan tuntunut hyvältä. Buffetaamiaista ei ollut nii kuin esitteessä luki.
- Great Hotel near Pub Street
- Restaurant opposite hotel (right hand side) open evening time is delicious and cheap
