"NO TATTOOS. Is the first sign you see when checking in. Perhaps if you have a small discrete tattoo, they will still permit you to use their hot-baths on site. Ideal for couples, seniors, less so for families with children. The beds were quite hard. The in-room food service was very good, as was the breakfast buffet. Both indoor and outdoor onsen was very nice, with the outdoor one having a nice view of Gifu Castle. "

"advertised as a normal albeit adults only hotel we booked in for 3 nights. Transpired it’s essentially a short stay love hotel.It would seem that users of this type of hotel are buzzed in and out of the room by staff behind the scenes, communication by in house telephone. Staff however spoke no English making the process a little difficult. After some discussion we managed to get a key allowing us to come and go as we pleased. "I would like my committed money back from this location. A local taxi cab driver could not find it. When he found it, he left us there. No one answered the door. No one answered the call. No one answered. We were left in a precarious position in the evening with no place to stay. I cannot recommend this place to anyone and I have a very flexible, mind and travel mindset, we eventually stated a nearby hotel on the river, which seemed like something Expedia would end. "Excellent Hotel. Hotel is relatively new with spacious rooms, communal kitchen, dining and lounge areas. Guests are encouraged to share these very attractive spaces in line with their needs. "We are a family of 3 staying in a business hotel and while the service of the check-in staff can be improved, the room size and proximity to the train and bus stations win us over. Plus my train-loving son enjoyed watching the train leaving the station from the window. That also means that if you are a light sleeper, do request for a room away from the train station. It is not super loud, but you definitely know it when there is a Shinkansen passing by. "

"Bed was very comfy! View from my room was amazing! Great facilities! Staff were helpful and polite! The only down side was I missed out on Hitsumabushi as I did not know that there were limited quantities. I should have been informed at checkin as I had breakfast included in my room rate so I had salmon instead which was amazingly tasty!"
