"Area was clean, felt safe, & gas station was conveniently close. Room was very clean. I stayed in a King room - bed was average for this level of hotel, not great but for one night it was fine. Hotel is dated as expected from the pics, but fine for a short stay & a better value than most hotels around Sandusky. A caution: rooms100/101 @ end of the hall - there's a staff door that is constantly slamming shut (last I heard it before sleep was about 2am) so if you aren't a sound sleeper request...

"We arrived around 9am and waited in line to check in. it was my daughters 15th birthday and the hotel clerk was an older lady. She was complaining that she had to type in my information in the computer because I made a reservation through Hotels.com. Then my credit card wouldn't go through and swiped it like 4 times. Finally a gentlemen came over to help. I asked her if they did anything special for birthdays in the rooms and she said I'll try to do my best because she had to decorate another...

"We only stayed one night so we didnt get to experience the pool or the fire pit but both were being utilized by many other guests. The dining area for breakfast is a little small so it got crowded for a short time. Overall the hotel is very nice and quiet and the staff are great. We will definitely stay here again!"
