"A wonderful traditional family owned business, with a great characters thanks to Mrs C and Janice for catering for our whims. The location is wonderful for families with quick access to the beach and it facilities. Thoroughly recommend for a stay on the Isle. "

"We had a sea view room which was nice comfortable and clean with a good bed. All the necessary things worked well - shower bath and toilet. View was ok but spoilt slightly by the window privacy stripes to stop hotel rooms across the road seeing in or hide the large flat roof before the sea view. It is a work in progress and they are doing their best with a good bar and

also a really nice resteraunt with outdoor decking area which is also the breakfast room with a decent selection...

"It was a lovely place to stay. A Victorian villa which still has many original features, including beautiful stained glass windows. The room was clean and tidy and the hosts were most hospitable. There were some lovely touches, such as complimentary drinks and snacks. It was lovely to sit out on the front veranda with a coffee. The rear garden was well tended and the large swimming

was fantastic. The only improvements i could suggest are a shower instead of the bath in Room 3 and a washing...

"Lovely welcome, made up for first impression, looked like it was unloved from the outside. Really big room, all that was needed to hand. Very friendly owners. Sauna and spa bath very nice. The only downside was on the night I stayed there were a lot of children running up and down stairs and they were not quiet (it was just after Christmas), but that was not anyone's fault. However slept soundly when noise lessened in a very comfortable bed and superb breakfast made the children vanish! Would...

"Our stay at The Havelock was extremely pleasant. The hotel was very clean and well presented. Paul and Vicky were excellent hosts and were always on hand for a friendly chat. The breakfast was very good and all the serving staff were so friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel is great - with old Shanklin village, Shanklin Chine and the beach all nearby. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Havelock and will hopefully return one day. Thoroughly recommend! "
