"The room was a very small box room in the attic. Had an en-suite. Air con worked when it wanted. Could not open window as it opened over the bed. Breakfast was 8.50€ per person. You were given a small basket with one croissant each,one pain du chocolate each and some very hard bread. Plus the other continental breakfast fare. Did not feel it was worth it. Been in other budget hotels and they were mych better"

"This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. My room was large, with wooden beamed ceiling, tall windows that opened, and a limestone fireplace I wish I had in my home. Ensuite had shower and had plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. "The first night we stayed we would award top marks, but on or return 4 days later the second room was not as good. It was not as clean, the shower screen support was loose, the tv was hanging and not working properly. The furniture on the terrace was very dirty, we cleaned it before we could sit down. We were served a meal in our room, but thought that the dirty dishes would be removed, but they remained until we signed out"
