"The appartement is very comfortable for a family with 2 kids and well localized. Our stay was good overall. They were only 2 things that bother us a bit : it's a bit dark inside the flat and the water pressure should be controlled : during our shower, they weren't not lots of water and we had randomly cold / hot water. "Hotel Abbazia was a gem—super conveniently located to public transportation (railway station and Piazzale Roma) and the Grand Canal but set back on a quiet side street. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. Room was great—comfortable bed, effective AC, reasonably priced."

"This place is amazing. The location is truly everything. You are right next to the Rialto bridge with beautiful views from our room of the Grand Canal. The staff was extremely helpful, always willingly providing recommendations and helping with luggage. Breakfast included eggs, not just croissants and the seating was right on the sidewalk by the water. St. Marks Basilica and Doge Palace were only a 10 minute walk through the Venetian streets where you can do some shopping along the way and get a little lost. The air conditioning was perfect and we left the windows open at night for the cool breeze. The terrace was a great nightly option, bring your drink and snack just relax and watch the hustle and bustle below. Highly recommend this place. "

"We traveled as a family and had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Principe. The location is excellent—less than a 5-minute walk from the Santa Lucia train station, which was very convenient when arriving and departing the city.
We had two rooms. Although they didn’t have a canal view, they were bright, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. One day, we did notice a faint onion smell when opening the window, but it was a one-time occurrence and didn’t impact our overall experience.
Breakfast was one of the highlights: very complete and varied, with fresh fruit, real-tasting eggs (not the artificial kind!), a nice assortment of breads, and a good selection of drinks. It was also included in our reservation made through Hotels.com, which was a great plus.
The hotel has direct access to the canal, which allowed us to enjoy beautiful views and experience a traditional Venetian moment, with gondolas passing right in front of us.
While main attractions like St. Mark’s Square are about a 40-minute walk away, the walk itself is enjoyable and a great way to explore Venice’s charming streets.
All in all, a very good option for staying in Venice, especially if you’re arriving by train and traveling with family."
