"Very nice hotel in the Black Forest. We had a balcony, which was nice since it was raining. We could still sit outside. Excellent breakfast. Nice indoor and outdoor pools, but the weather wasn't swimming weather when we were there so we couldn't try it. "

"This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Lamm, the 2 previous times it was as a couple this time I was a solo traveller. "The service was friendly and welcoming. The room was not so good. Quite small. bed was comfortable. Shower was very small but with plenty of hot water. no refrigerator. poor amenities. "This might be a nice place during tourist season, but do not book here in the off season. Hotel was closed when we arrived and had to telphone someone to open for us. There was no heat in the hotel and had to call again about the heat. They brought us an electric heater, but it wasn't adequate. They finally turned on the heat to the room after calling expidia to complain. We were the only quests in the hotel that night, at least it was quiet."

"First impressions were slightly underwhelming, but ignore those, the hotel is excellent and the staff are great. The food was wonderful and the pool was lovely. To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. Criticisms - the room tended to get quite hot and there is public transport but it’s a bit of a walk away, but those a minor criticisms. On the main question - would I go back? Yes. Gladly. Gratefully."

"There aren't a ton of options in Archen, but I was there unexpectedly with a motorcycle breakdown. This hotel was clean and worked perfectly for me. There are dining options within walking distance and I enjoyed their covered outdoor space in the front during a thunderstorm last night!"

"Beautiful location in wine region. The hotel itself is a stunning building. My room was supposed to be a single but really felt like a ballroom which a great balcony. The restaurant, which is attached to the hotel, is award-winning and a must-try if you stay here. Baden cuisine at its finest, plus excellent local wine paired with the food. "
