"We had a lovely stay at Calamar Hotel. The staff were so kind and the hotel has beautiful. We stayed in the 5 person suite on a girls trip and had the most fun. "What a fantastic place. If you are looking for a special spot in Madeira to call home for a few nights, this is it. Marco and Maria were incredibly gracious and accommodating hosts and the food they cook is delicious! The location is also superb, with stunning views and a very private feeling. The amenities are also top notch (we loved the cliffside infinity pool and sauna!!). You will leave feeling rejuvenated and wanting to come back for more! Highly recommended "

"Great communication from the owner. Missing a few conveniences that would have been a nice touch (coffee pods, extra toilet paper, soap etc). Other than that the location was perfect. Right above a cool bar that wasn’t noisy at all. Slept with an open window and the sounds of the ocean waves. "
