"This hotel was clean, centrally located within walking distance to the historic district/restaurants/shopping & tourist sites. The staff was wonderful and price reasonable for what you get. Rooms were clean but basic. Rooms on the street were VERY noisy and water did run out one day during out stay, but the staff had water back within 2 hours. Breakfast was great."

"The property is 1 minute away from Plaza De Armas, which is the main square in cusco. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was great. Our only complain is that we were placed in a room without windows but maybe because of the low price we paid. Overall I would recommend it since it is really really close to the main square. "

"We had a great experience at Tierra Vivo. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, location was convenient, and breakfast was great. The staff was also very accommodating and welcoming, and allowed us to keep our luggage there for 4 days while we did our Machu Picchu trek. Only complaint is that in the second room we stayed in, there was a gap at the top of the door which allowed a lot of noise to come through. Other than that, highly recommend and would stay here again!"

"Casona La Recoleta is a wonderful place to stay at Cusco. My spouse became ill from the altitude sickness upon arrival. The staff immediate tested her blood oxygen level and offered an emergency oxygen tank to relieve her symptoms. My spouse kept on and off the oxygen without success of bringing her blood oxygen level up on her own. We ran out of the oxygen in the middle of the night, and the 24-hr onsite staff helped with another tank while I was trying to book a flight to get us down to Lima...
