"It's fine. Cheap place to stay. The noise is the biggest issue. There were dogs barking in reception one morning and no attempt from anyone to quiet them down. On the last night there was someone in a room practicing opera from 10pm til gone midnight. Think they need to remind guests and staff this is a hotel and people are trying to sleep. But as I say it's clean, cheap and staff were friendly."

"The hotel/guesthouse is easily reached from the centre of Milan by metro followed by a short walk (past a nice bakery). Il Girasole looks unconventional, being a converted factory building. A nice courtyard is hidden behind a metal entrance door. Matteo and his brother are extremely nice hosts, who can provide enthusiastic advice on sightseeing in Milan. "Classic style Hotel with comforting detail in the rooms. Spacious and unique and set in a timeless era of a classy hotel. Breakfast was good, coffee /espresso was fantastic. Private parking right outside the second door to my room in my own carport. Beautiful art on the walls . Carmen at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke good English which was help to me. "

"The staff are awesome! We stayed for a week and had a great time. Staff was super helpful with anything we needed. The area can seem a bit interesting but honestly it was totally fine. We had no issues. Transportation, shopping and dining options were literally a 5 minute walk away. The property was very clean and the rooms were cleaned daily.
