"We booked this hotel as we wanted a hotel that was central to the heel of the boot of Italy so we could travel to the various towns like Lecce, Otranto, Ostuni, Gallipoli etc which were all within about an hour of the hotel. We arrived at Cellino san Marco just after midday and found there was nothing open in the town, no movement at all and thought we had come to a film set of the remake of "On The Beach", a film about a neuclear disaster. "We actually extended our stay as we loved this beautiful hotel. The village is small and a car is required but lots to see and do in the surrounding area. We loved the spa - incredibly relaxing and very cost effective. The hotel room is large with lots of storage and has fridge. Gorgeous bathroom. But the highlight was our breakfasts with Giovanni. Many quality choices and of course the cappuccino! Terrific service by all staff. Lovely stay!"

"Lovely place to spend the night. Plenty of parking, beautiful common area, clean and quiet room with nice furnishings and refreshing scents! The towel rod was broken in our bathroom and we had some trouble operating the front gate. I also cannot comment on breakfast because we left too early to enjoy it. The whole place is unreal, out of a movie, and definitely worth visiting for the falcon and horse shows."
