"We had a pretty good stay at the Toyoko Inn Saga. The Japanese style breakfast was great for one of us. The tub was nice but there were hairs left in the bathroom and a few pieces of plastic left on the floor of our cleaned room. Note that check in is at 4! Pretty late and the latest of anywhere we stayed in Japan. You are not allowed in a minute before 4. They have self check in and checkout machines that seem redundant. "Honestly would give it 6 stars if I could. In terms of a budget hotel, this was exactly what we wanted. Spacious rooms, clean, great location near a main subway line, easy access, quick check-in & check-out. As a huge bonus, it also had a washer & drier in the room! This was only an extra ~$40AUD per night than a similar hotel we stayed at in Osaka and the difference in size in particular was huge. Big recommend."
