"A very convenient location for Dorchester centre which was a 15 minute walk. The landlord was very friendly and helpful and made my 4 night stay very comfortable. There was a great choice at breakfast where the landlord was able to sort me out with porridge."

"Let down by small things! I'd stay at the Old Ship again. Switched room mid-stay at venue's request, but I was okay with that. Comfortable beds and great linen. Both rooms were freshly painted and had been thoughtfully decorated.. However, neither bathroom had a shelf - awkward - and one room had only an overhead light. "A truly wonderful stay at Calm Sea guesthouse. The owners, Mel and Trish couldn’t be more accommodating, providing restaurant recommendations and discounts and nothing was too much trouble. They even opened the kitchen early on the Sunday so I could have a breakfast before an early set off (which was delicious). The room was spotless with lovely extra touches. Fantastic all round "

"We only stayed one night in a double room with en-suite in Hattie’s House which is a building across the car park and had a wonderful evening meal in the pub itself.The interior of the pub was exceptionally warm and inviting. The breakfast was good also."

"Louise was an attentive host. The room was extremely well stocked with toiletries and refreshments. The staircase was very narrow and steep so a good level of mobility is needed. The breakfast had an amazing choice with a wide selection of fruits, homemade preserves and toast and a generous cooked menu. We would recommend staying here."
