"Staff are super helpful and friendly, the hotel is spotlessly clean. I really want to leave a good review as they are trying so hard, but there are shortcomings that could easily be addressed. The rooms are pretty basic and a couple of glasses, a hairdryer, extra towels etc would make a huge difference. "Le propriétaire et sa femme sont adorables, toujours disponibles pour répondre à nos questions et voir à ce que les clients soient bien. Une personne nous attendait à l’arrêt d’autobus pour nous mener à l’hôtel. C’est un hôtel magnifique, vraiment. La terrasse est grande avec plusieurs chaises et tables. Il y fait chaud toutefois, car tout est en plein soleil. Le petit-déjeuner offert a été très apprécié. L’arrêt d’autobus pour aller à Las coloradas est à 5 min à pied. Le propriétaire peut organiser une visite guidée ($) avec un guide officiel qui est super gentil. 🙂 Sur le malecon, en marchant, il y a des dépanneurs pour les grignotines et des restaurants. Le centre n’est pas très loin à pied. Nous sommes restés deux soirs. Au final : qualité/prix excellents! "

"Hotel is located in front of the main plaza and is a couple of blocks away from the beach. It has a beautiful infinity pool in the roof. There are many restaurants at a walking distance and the hotel has a good and convenient restaurant on the first floor. WiFi may be weak in the rooms but if you need to download a film just walk down to the lobby. El Cuyo is a relaxing place and definitely this hotel helps to wind down. "

"Great view! Location was very nice and right across from the malecon. The pool was better than expected and great for cooling off in. The staff were very friendly and especially Bernaby (Barnaby) and Julie. We loved walking to Sendero Peten Mac and making use of a mototaxista Juan who we used for an excursion to San Felipe and Las Coloradas and playa Cancunito. Juan has a mototaxi that has good shade and he was friendly and pointed out crocodiles in mangroves at the side of the road. It was only 20 minutes by mototaxi to San Felipe and 40 minutes to Las Coloradas. You can contact Juan through the hotel’s front desk staff. The posted hotel rules regarding no outside beverages or food even in rooms, seemed very unreasonable and so we ignored the rule. We did also eat and drink in the hotel restaurant area. "
