"I really appreciate it the spacious rooms and the central location. Unfortunately we found a large piece of glass under the bed which means the cleaning crew did not do a thorough job. If anyone had accidentally stepped on it, it would most likely have ended up in a trip to the hospital to get stitches. "This place is a perfect base to explore Reims . We parked in the car park upstairs , outside for free ( there is underground parking on site too ) The room was nice , overlooking the river .. from the hotel it’s walkable to the Cathedral quarter ( 10/12mins stroll ) and there’s a wealth of restaurant choices and bars there . This seemed a very walkable and safe city and the Mercure is a nice easy , cost effective hotel to use as a base for a visit . "
